    Thanks, luv. Evanne said it made her think about why man is so insistent on surrounding himself with straight lines, when straight lines don’t appear anywhere in nature. Maybe straight lines make us feel protected and in control for that very reason – because only we can make them, and we can impose them on a disorderly landscape, transforming its wildness with order and control.

    our whole lives- all our mental constructs are and attempt to control- even what you and I do on this blog is an attempt at such. having said that, i can tell you- i saw a few of these pix online- saved ’em- intended to use them in a post- but oddly i didn’t move past envy to jealousy when i saw that you worked them into a post. i just love what you did with it so much. woooooooooooosh. that’s what it feels like to scroll through this.
